Wait, so what do you do?

We provide childbirth education classes and labor support from trained doulas to teen parents.

What is a doula?

A doula is a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to a mother before, during and shortly after childbirth to help her achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible.

What about after the baby is born?

After your baby is born, we offer the opportunity to connect with volunteer adult mentors. We want to make sure teens are supported throughout the tough journey of parenthood. Teens and Mentors can connect through our monthly dinners or on their own for coffee or a playdate.

What is the maximum age you provides services for?

We will provide NO COST services for teens through age 22.

Are your volunteers trained?

Yes! Our Childbirth Educators and doulas are trained professionals. Our volunteer mentors attend our quarterly mentor training meetings.

What if I already have a baby? Can I still get a mentor?

Of course! If you are interested in connecting with a mentor we would love to help you do just that! You can email us at regardinghope.inc@gmail.com or call us at ‪(858) 522-9040‬. Or you can just show up at one of our events and we’ll do our best to connect you!

Do you provide diapers, clothes, money, formula, housing?

We do not promise any of these things to our teens, but we DO help teens who are in need of these resources find ways to acquire what they need. Occasionally, we have generous donations that we will distribute when we they are available to our current teens who need them.

What if I don’t live in San Diego County?

We only provide in person support to residents of San Diego County, BUT we also can provide virtual support through phone calls or help you find in person support in your area! So please still contact us!
